Urine passes through the perforated backing into a compacted, free-draining aggregate base graded with slope so it moves away from the area. On flat Houston lots we build extra drainage capacity into the base so liquid does not collect beneath the turf.

A non-absorbent, antimicrobial infill engineered for pet use. It resists the ammonia and bacteria that cause odor instead of absorbing them. For heavier pet loads we add a dedicated odor-control infill in the high-use zones with a scheduled top-off.
